George Appiah Danquah, MSW, LADC I, is a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Director at Washburn House’s Clinically Managed Low Intensity Residential Program. With a Master of Social Work degree and licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor I, George brings a powerful blend of clinical expertise, administrative leadership, and trauma informed practice to the behavioral health field.
As a seasoned Substance Abuse Counselor and social worker, George specializes in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, mental health, and trauma informed care, delivering evidence based interventions to individuals and families with complex needs. His professional experience spans clinical administration, case management, program oversight, and team leadership—ensuring high quality, person centered care within residential treatment settings.
George has a proven track record of supporting diverse populations facing addiction, co occurring mental health disorders, trauma histories, and financial or relational challenges. His work is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and a deep belief in every person’s capacity for healing, recovery, and transformation.
In addition to his clinical strengths, George is highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), data compilation and maintenance, accounting procedures, and cybersecurity awareness. His technical versatility enables him to master new systems quickly, streamline workflows, and support organizational efficiency across multiple platforms.
Known for his excellent communication skills and professional presence, George collaborates effectively with clients, colleagues, vendors, and executive leadership. His greatest passion is helping individuals and families overcome adversity, rebuild their lives, and reach their full potential. Through his leadership, Washburn House continues to provide compassionate, evidence based care that empowers clients on their recovery journey.
